Planning

Planning Public Access

Planning exists to manage new development so that it takes place in accordance with the development plan and other land use and spatial polices of the council and government. Development includes both building work and changes of use. Planning applications are made to the council for all sorts of development from house extensions to new business parks.

The current Development Plan for Powys is the Unitary Development Plan (UDP) which has been adopted for the purposes of determining planning applications.
